Sup to Rissa as well.

Hello to Tristan, who apparently comes here and comments randomly. Why don’t you just use your own name? o O? OR EVER GET ON MSN?

Make My Logo Bigger Cream

This is probably only friggin’ hilarious to the designer types, but I’m blogging this anyway!

Sooooooooo I just got my official copy of Lightwave today, and let me tell you. I’m totally in love. I’ve been looking up all these tutorials and stuff, and there’s so much that I’ve been wishing I could do in Max that I *can* do in Lightwave. Well, it’s *easier* to do these thing anyway. Maybe I just don’t know how to use Max, or maybe Lightwave is just easier, but I’m having a blast. I’ve been playing around with the LW demo for a while now (thank you 2849348329 computers) and I just love the way it handles lighting. For clothing, LW is the way to go. So far I’ve had better luck making nice skin textures using Max. I’m still a LW nub, though, so in time, maybe I’ll figure it out. =D If anyone has any tips, ideas, useful plugins, etc. for me, let me know!

I’ve also pushed back the opening of Fornever and Body Project (my new eyes/shape/skin… well, “beauty product” store) ’til sometime around December 8th-ish, because I’m entering the EFA Design Awards contest. o: I just found out about it a few days ago, so I’m really glad that I had recently purchased Lightwave, and I also ran off to pick up the PS plug-in that had originally inspired the outfit idea.
I’m planning something BIG and I’m really putting my all into this.. like I seem to be able to for almost every contest but I can’t seem to do on my own, lol. Ah well. This will be my 2nd clothing set, EVAR. In SL anyway. And still, I really haven’t done that many clothing items ever. In any case, so far I’m more than pleased with *parts* of what I have now. There are a few things bugging me but they’re things that are out of my total control, so I’m just going to chalk those up to designer-nubness and suck it up. I’m such a perfectionist, which is the reason why my releases are always so scarce or why I can a really long time to do things that take other people 2 seconds to do.

Aaaaaaaaaaanyway, I’m gonna go continue working now. Wish me luck!

Just so it’s official, I’m going to be out of town this weekend. This means that I’ll be slow in delivering stale credit purchases, if I decide to chance it on a 56k and send the credits out before Sunday night. I’d rather wait just so I know the internet connection isn’t going to blow up (aka the phone rings) while I’m trying to send out missed credits. Hopefully, there won’t be any such stale purchases!

For those of you out there that celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll see you all when I return Sunday (ugh, a lost weekend) and then I’ll start chugging along to get my new stores up in SL, and probably some new eyes in IMVU, both on CDG and not.

…but eyes are fun! I’ll be leaving soon for a family get together, bleh, but in the meantime I’m using my time to play with eye textures in SL. I love making eyes because you can make pretty much *anything* into an iris. I don’t know who has the largest eye collection in SL, but I think maybe a few months from now I just might beat whatever their number is. There’s two things I’m always hording; hair textures and eye textures. Hair is sooooooooo much fun to make (for me anyway) and same with eyes. With just one 512 texture I can come up with at least three unique-enough iris design based solely on just resizing the image. Just think of what I can come up with once I start mixing designs together, lol. I <3 you eye textures! Maybe I should take some time to just focus on eyes for awhile… I’ll have a LOT of time for that since Thanksgiving is here and I won’t be able to get online! Well, I will, it will just be 56k which is INSUFFICIENT. So, whatever. I’ll just horde more designs. xD I’d like to try my hard at clothing while I’m at it, too. I really need to increase that section of my inventory for the new stores. o: Yes, storeS. I just never have enough prims, so I bought some more land (in Linji and Peronaut, yay!) and I’m doing some splitting and whatnot, one that I’ve been planning for awhile. One store is going to be more “fashionable,” if you will, while another will be more crazy, out-there-ish. Anything else will be a joint project of bringing the two together. Until I can get my island up the way I want it, this is the way it’s going to be for awhile. xD

Anyway, it’s 5:13 now, so I think I’m gonna finally go to bed… or at least pretend like I’m going to sleep or something. I wanna spend some quality time with my bed, my laptop, and an Azam Ali CD; just like the old days (the beginning of this year?).

It’s too bad, because that’s hardly what it is. Many SL residents will continue their SL or even RL with Ginny in their memory and as an inspiration. I never knew Ginny, but he had a way of making me stalk the Last Call store and blog.. even though I normally not a person who keep up with fashion. Shizuka is usually in some outfit from LC, and by far LC is the biggest folder in my inventory (besides maybe the ETD folder). I’ve known about this situation for a while, but I really didn’t know what to say until now. I suppose it just sunk in when osmeone said “Ginny’s okay isn’t she?” and someone else replied with “No.” It’s so surreal. While the Quad sims were down and the rumor mill was fully staffed and operated, I was appalled by talk of all four avatars/stores being alts of each other, people saying the stores should stay closed forever, impatient people not “respecting [their] decision” as all the blogs had asked, people calling it a publicity stunt… At least if any one of those were true, a life wouldn’t be lost. Not just a life, but an unmatched creative talent.

Ginny, you will be missed. Few people are remembered as much as you will be, few people have the ability to touch the lives of so many people in so short a time. Your designs have been a personal inspiration to me, and will continue to be forevermore.
My condolences to all members of the Quad and everyone who knew and lover Ginny, either as a bystander or a close friend. Find a way to move on, but never forget. Ginny will live on in all our hearts.
